Swizz Beatz took to Instagram to announce another legendary battle that will take on Instagram Live tonight. Babyface is set to go head-to-head with Teddy Riley in a 20-song battle.
The showcase of iconic R&B producers is the latest in a series of good-natured clashes organized by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland during the coronavirus pandemic.
Babyface and Riley will match hit song vs. hit song in the battle, which begins tonight Saturday, April 18th, 2020 9PM EST on Teddy Riley's IG.
Face, a 2017 inductee to the Songwriters Hall of Fame, has written or produced more than 100 hit songs, including Ariana Grande's "Baby I," Bobby Brown's "Every Little Step", TLC's "Diggin' on You", Boyz II Men's "End of the Road" and 1994 "I'll Make Love to You", Whitney Houston's "Exhale (Shoop Shoop), Johnny Gill's "My My My" and Toni Braxton's "Let it Flow".
New Jack Swing pioneer Riley produced hits such as Johnny Kemp's "Just Got Paid," Blackstreet's "No Diggity" and Wreckx-N-Effect's "Rump Shaker."
He fused hip hop and R&B in his production work with artists including Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Bobby Brown, Keith Sweat, Samantha Mumba, Doug E. Fresh, Heavy D & the Boyz, Hi-Five, as well as his spearheaded groups Guy and Blackstreet.
