Beyoncé Has Surprised Fans With a Trailer for Her New Movie 'Black Is King'

Beyoncé has surprised fans with a trailer for her new movie Black Is King, which is set to arrive on Disney Plus next month.

Inspired by her Lion King album visuals, the trailer features Beyoncé, her husband Jay Z and their children Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir. Few details are known about the mystery movie but it does appear to be a celebration of blackness in the midst of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The minute-long trailer is narrated by Beyoncé, 38, and features a group of black men huddled together before showing an African king on his golden throne.

A journey is a gift,’ Bey says as she sits upon a horse.  With her Lion King: The Gift song Already as the soundtrack, Beyoncé and Jay Z are seen walking towards a large portrait in a gallery. As they admire the stunning piece of art, it’s clear they’re looking at themselves with Beyonce’s famous twin dancers as cherubs holding Rumi and Sir.

The Single Ladies singer then cradles a small baby – possibly one of the twins – and says:

‘The answers have never left you… You can’t wear a crown with your head down.’
