DMX (real names Earl Simmons) is starting a new chapter in his life, and is about to be a married man!
The rapper popped the question to Desiree Lindstrom, his longtime girlfriend and mother of his son, Exodus.
The moment went down while the family was celebrating Exodus’s 3rd birthday. He’s the youngest of 15 children that DMX has from previous relationships.
Lindstrom said “yes” in front of a gathering of family and friends after the 48-year-old rapper got down on a knee and busted out a new ring. He told ya ‘X gon’ give it to ya’!
In the video, DMX explained that he and Lindstrom had broken up earlier that day, so Desiree was wearing her engagement ring on a necklace.
It’s unclear when the rapper popped the question the first time, but the couple has reportedly been together for 8-years and were engaged for about half that time.
Earlier this year camera’s were rolling while Lindstrom hosted an X-rated bachelorette party during an episode of Black Ink Crew New York. During the episode, which aired on August 17 , X pops by Caesar and Puma’s shop on 113th street in Harlem to surprise his bride to be.
