Ever since DMX’s release from prison, he’s hit the ground running working on new music and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. With that, many fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from the New York rapper.

According to AllHipHop, the rapper has signed to Def Jam, with a likely return in the form of a Christmas album, titled DMX-Mas. Due to the Christmas feel of the album title, it could possibly drop this year or early next year.

Speaking to Angie Martinez, Swizz Beatz, DMX's closest collaborator, confirmed that the deal with Def Jam indeed just happened. He explained that DMX is one of the people who he came up with in the game and will always have his back.

Salute to X on this new phase of his career!
