DMX Wants To Go Hit-For-Hit Against Jay-Z

During a recent interview with NORE and DJ EFN on Drink Champs, DMX was asked about who he’d want to go up against song-for-song. “Jay,” X replied, which shocked NORE and EFN. The VERZUZ battles started by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have been keeping us all occupied while quarantining. While we’re all awaiting Erykah Badu and Jill Scott’s battle this Saturday, it looks like DMX wants to go head for head with Jay-Z.
DMX and JAY-Z are two of the most potent rappers to ever grace the microphone. They also have a storied history. In 1994 Jigga and X met up in the Bronx to have a battle.
Although there's footage of this battle — which was shot by Big L— only Jigga's verses were filmed.
