Following the success of his hit series 'Tales' on BET, Irv Gotti has announced plans for another creation he hopes to bring to television real soon.
BET aired the second season of 'Tales' in April, with episodes inspired by classic records such as Mary J. Blige's "My Life," Nas' "I Gave You Power," Lauryn Hill's "Ex Factor," Geto Boys' "Mind Playing Tricks on Me," and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's "Deep Cover" to name a few.
Earlier this year Gotti wrote "Murder Inc!!," alongside a picture of the iconic record label, "Everything will be told. The good. The bad. Everything. With my Murder Inc TV Series. I’m taking my time. Cause it has to be perfect. But for sure. It’s coming!! #murderinctvseries#visionaryideas"
Hip hop fans are anticipating for the new series that delves into the rise and fall of Murder Inc.
Now, it looks like not only is the documentary and tv series still in the works but the Queens native has also added a 20th Anniversary Murder Inc Tour coming up with Live Nation. As a matter of fact, he’s partnered up with Live Nation for all three projects.
Irv Gotti posted to his Instagram this week, sharing a promo photo for the documentary featuring him and Ja Rule, accompanied by the announcement of the upcoming projects.
“Started working on the Doc with my guy MICHAEL PAYTON. Yes. The same guy who did such a brilliant job with the Unauthorized Documentary. #csuitemusic I am putting him on and letting him Direct. Write. And Produce Me and #ruleyorkcity MURDER INC STORY. And we promise to tell the TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH. From Birth Til Now. All the GREAT SHIT. To the BAD SHIT”, he wrote.
The caption continued,
“It’s gonna be brought to you by #visionaryideas of course and LIVE NATION!!! Which will be followed by the MURDER INC TV SERIES. Which will SHOW YOU THE WHOLE STORY. Also partnered with LIVE NATION for that. But 1st the 20th Anniversary Murder Inc TOUR!! With LIVE NATION. Coming soon!!”
Release dates for the documentary and tv series projects have yet to be announced as well as the tour dates but with this much time and preparation involved, it’s bound to be worth the wait!
