The pop star has hit out at the hip-hop veteran for criticising those who came after him.
Justin Bieber has said Eminem “doesn’t understand” rap’s new generation after the rapper made several criticisms of the genre’s new stars.
Eminem took aim at some of the rappers who have followed him on his song 'The Ringer', which appeared on last year’s surprise album, 'Kamikaze'.
The track mentioned Vince Staples, 21 Savage, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Yachty, Iggy Azalea, Lil Pump, Lil Xan, and more.
In the song, Em expresses his distain for mumble rap:
“I heard your mumbling but it’s jumbled in mumbo-jumbo/The era that I’m from will pummel you, that’s what it’s coming to.”
Bieber made the comments about Eminem on his Instagram story yesterday, after sharing a screenshot of 'The Ringer' on Apple Music.
Eminem isn’t exactly one to shy away from controversy, so we wouldn’t be surprised to hear the 46-year-old rapper coming at Justin Bieber (again) on a new track. Nonetheless, let us know what you think of JB’s comments regarding Eminem. Does he have a point or should he fall back?
