Justin Timberlake Reacted to Ariana Grande's Epic Performance with NSYNC

Updated: Apr 17, 2019

"You guys killed it last night," JT wrote alongside an Instagram photo on Monday (April 15) that sees Grande posing for a selfie with Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick.

During the show, the rest of the beloved boy band reunited to perform “Makes Me Ill” (part of which is featured in the bridge of Ari’s No. 2 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored’’) and their classic 1998 smash “Tearin' Up My Heart,” sans Timberlake.

Why Didn’t Justin Timberlake Perform at Coachella With Ariana Grande and ‘NSync?

Joey Fatone explains “He was still doing his tour, he had just finished his tour,” Fatone, 42, told TMZ when asked why JT wasn’t a part of the reunion performance with Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez during Grande’s set. “So, he wasn’t able to come back and do rehearsals with us.”
Fatone added: “No, he wasn’t [able to fit it in], man. Think about it, you’ve been doing a long tour, would you want to do something after that?” As for if Timberlake was up for doing it had he not been busy, the New York native told TMZ “oh, yeah!”
