Lifetime Drops the Trailer for 'Salt-N-Pepa' Biopic

Lifetime has finally dropped the trailer for the highly-anticipated Salt-N-Pepa biopic.

According to Shadow and Act, the three-hour film, which has also been referred to as a limited series, will air later this year. The cast includes Laila Odom as Sandra Denton (Pepa), G.G. Townson as Cheryl James (Salt) and Deidra Roper as DJ Spinderella. Jermel Howard will star as rapper Treach, who was married to Pepa for two years. Cleveland Berto will play Hurby Azor, the group’s music producer and friend.


The film will take a look into the group’s rise to stardom in a male-dominated hip hop industry.
