Lil Wayne's No. 1 album Tha Carter V has had a huge first week. The album has done so well that he's also made Billboard Hot 100 history by becoming the first artist to ever debut two songs in the Hot 100's top five simultaneously.
“Mona Lisa” and “Don’t Cry” were the top-performing tracks off Lil Wayne’s new album “Tha Carter V.” Lil Wayne has made chart history once again with the release of his long-awaited album Tha Carter V. On top of the album becoming Wayne’s fourth to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the rapper has become the very first artist to have two songs debut in the top 5 of the Hot 100, Billboard reports. Wayne’s Kendrick Lamar-assisted “Mona Lisa” has debuted at No. 2, outsold only by Maroon 5 and Cardi B’s “Girls Like You,” which holds the top spot for a third week. His XXXTentacion collaboration “Don’t Cry” comes in at No. 5.
Weezy now has 24 career Hot 100 top tens to his name, replacing Jay-Z (21) as the rapper with the second-most ever. Drake currently leads the rap pack with 31. Eminem is just below Jay-Z with 20.
