Madonna has announced dates for her Madame X tour in support of her upcoming album of the same name. The tour will kick off in New York this fall.
According to an official press release published on Monday, 6 May 2019, the Madame X theatre tour will commence on Thursday, 12 September 2019, where she is scheduled to play a number of shows at Brooklyn’s BAM Howard Gilman Opera House and various theatres in New York City. She is then scheduled for a residency role at the Chicago Theatre in October 2019, followed by a November residency in Los Angeles’ Wiltern.
The press release further states that Madonna is expected to perform shows in Las Vegas, Boston, Miami, and Philadelphia, and will be taking the tour to international stages in 2020, with shows in London, Paris and Portugal.
The 15-track Madame X album is slated to be released to the public June 14. Madonna's last album was "Rebel Heart" in 2015.
"Madame X is a secret agent traveling around the world. Changing identities," the Queen of Pop said during her album announcement last month. "Bringing light to dark places. Madame X is a dancer. A professor. A head of state. An equestrian. A prisoner. A student. A mother. A child. A teacher. A nun. A singer. A saint. A wh**e. And a spy in the house of love. I'm Madame X."
