Nas Wins His First Ever Grammy


Nas has won Best Rap Album—his first ever Grammy Award—at the 2021 Grammys. The rap veteran’s 13th studio album King’s Disease beat out works by D Smoke (Black Habits), Jay Electronica (A Written Testimony), Freddie Gibbs and the Alchemist (Alfredo), and Royce 5'9" (The Allegory) for the honor.


Nas has been nominated for a Grammy 14 times in total. He was first nominated in 1996 when “If I Ruled the World (Imagine That)” lost in the Best Rap Solo performance category.


Last year, Nas performed at the Grammys with Lil Nas X.
