Norah Jones grew to be a household name after her 2002 debut "Come Away With Me" — an album that brought home five Grammys. She became a jazz sweetheart overnight, but quickly established that she did not want to be boxed into one genre. She released recently just digtal singles but now she's back with a brand new EP called 'Begin Again'.
The EP maintains the singer’s bluesy piano and soulful singing, while also incorporating modern pop sounds in songs such as 'Uh Oh'. Jones also implements jazz and acoustic rhythms, which broaden her repertoire more so than in her previous work. In the accompanying editor’s notes provided by Apple Music, it is stated that each song on the EP shares the assured intimacy of a lullaby, which is a sentiment synonymous with Jones’ music.
