Snoop Dogg's Grandson Kai Tragically Dies at 10 Days Old in the Hospital

Snoop Dogg's infant grandson died Wednesday, 10 days after being born, according to Instagram posts from the rapper's family members.

The rapper's wife Shante Broadus and son Corde Broadus announced the death of Kai on Instagram Thursday.

Shante shared a video of herself singing a version of the R&B song "The Love We Had Stays on My Mind" by The Dells.

"To My Fifth G Baby," she wrote. "Kai Love 9-15-19/9-25-19"

Snoop Dogg has not made a direct statement about his grandson's death, he posted an Instagram video Friday about turning to God in difficult times.

"If you're facing something you don't understand: Choose to trust God" the video says. "Remember all He has done for you

"His ways are higher than ours," it continues. "He is always good."

Snoop Dogg's son Corde did not reveal a cause of death or any other details.
