Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Ashanti, 38, and her younger sister, Kenashia “Shia” Douglas, 30, both Glen Cove natives, have teamed up for a very sultry swimsuit collection with PrettyLittleThing, the U.K.-based fashion retailer aimed at a young, trend-driven audience.

The 74-piece line, available in sizes 4 to 24, features swimsuits and cover-ups inspired by tropical, global travel.

According to Ashanti, the collection “exudes women’s empowerment, celebrating all women, shapes, sizes, and colors.” She stars in the campaign wearing an eye-catching selection of looks, including barely-there bikinis and bold cutout styles.

Her sister, who has a background in design and fashion and served as creative director for the collection, explains, “Interchangeable pieces were the goal, with swimsuits paired with looks you can wear from the beach to the bar.”

“This collection is for everyone,” Ashanti told BET. “The confident girl, the sassy girl, the classy girl, the sexy girl, the turn-up girl, the girl who doesn’t follow the crowd but stands out in it.”

“I travel around the world to so many tropical places,” she continued. “I wanted pieces that felt exotic and global. The Amazon meets the Caribbean. I wanted pieces that would empower women. There are unique and exotic options for every woman’s shape and size. We created the line to give women choices, so you can mix and match pieces and create different looks, from matching kimonos to cover-ups and pants. These looks are interchangeable. We also added chaps to some pieces, bringing the look to a whole new level so you can stay photoshoot-ready.”
